72,000 Person Study Shows This Increases Risk of Dementia

If you are over the age of 50 you’ve probably thought a time or two about the possibility of developing the dementia. Sadly, most of us have seen the ravaging toll that it can take on an individual (and on their families), and after seeing that you realize that dementia is something you want to avoid like the plague.

Unfortunately, many people believe that developing dementia is just a roll of the dice and that there’s not much we can do to prevent it.  That is scientifically false.

In fact, a new study published in the journal Neurology, which tracked 72,083 people over a 10-year period, showed that after adjusting for all other variables, the participants who consumed more processed food had a significantly higher risk of developing dementia.

An article about this study was just published today, and I’ve attached a link to it below. It is a quick read.  Please pass it along to anyone else who is concerned about maintaining their mental health.
