Biblical and Prophetic Meanings of 222…For US
Ever since I realized I got saved on 2/22 on the lunar Hebrew calendar (5/20/06 on the solar calendar), God has used this number combination to speak to me about many things. I’m noticing that He is speaking to others about this number sequence too. The most common tie in I’ve heard has to do with Isaiah 22:22, where God says, “I will place on his shoulders the key of David and what he opens no one will shut and what he shuts no one will open.” Since today is 2/22/22, let me offer some additional biblical food for thought that also speaks to what the Lord is saying to US prophetically regarding our callings, our anointings, and the ministry we are all doing together. Some of this may be review, but I encourage you to read through to the end.
If you read the Bible concordance (aka the lexicon), you will see that there are over 7000 Hebrew words and over 5000 Greek words in the Bible. You will also see that each word has a number assigned to it based on where it falls in the Greek and Hebrew alphabetical order of words.
One thing to realize about this is that God Himself is the one who decided which words to use and what order the alphabet would be in. He even proves it when He describes Himself as “the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 1:8)
So, what words are assigned to the number “222?”
The 222nd word in the Hebrew lexicon is the word “Uriel”, which is the name of a man who was a priest in the tabernacle of David (1 Chronicles 15). His name means “fiery one of God” and he was the “chief” of the sons of Kohath. Kohath means “assembly.”
I believe there is a tie in to 222 being associated with being “on fire” for God, being a sold-out worshipper (i.e., a priest) and for being a leader over a group of people (i.e., chief of the assembly).
The 222nd word in the Greek lexicon is the word “Alexandrian”, which describes a ship that Paul took from place to place on his missionary journeys (Acts 27,28). I believe that 222 is also associated with traveling place to place and doing missions for God.
I’ve messaged Sean Feucht (who gets messages through 222’s a lot too) about both of these connections, as I believe they describe him also.
Also interesting is that the 2222nd word in the Greek lexicon is the word “zoe”, which means “life”. When Jesus said that He came to bring us “eternal life”, He was saying He came to bring us eternal “zoe.” Zoe is also my sister’s name.
So, I believe 222 also points to salvation as well as temporal and eternal life.
In the Hebrew lexicon, the 2222nd word is the word “zarzip” which means “to water.” It is only used once in the Bible- in Psalm 72:6.
The passage reads:
Psalms 72:5-7 (NASB) 5 May they fear You while the sun shines, And as long as the moon shines, throughout all generations. 6 May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. 7 May the righteous flourish in his days, As well as an abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
Based on the context of this passage, I believe 222 is also related to God’s blessing, which is attached to repentance and walking in the fear of the Lord.
Oh, and last but not least, it also appears to be a number of completeness, because there are 22 letters in the entire Hebrew alphabet.
So, what does it mean for us TODAY?
I believe that this once in a lifetime date is meant to point to the fact that we are living in a once in a lifetime moment where God is raising up those who walk in repentance and the fear of the Lord to burn for Him and be leaders of many (which includes the hundreds or thousands we lead into truth each and every week during the outreaches), and go from place to place to bring priestly worship and words of zoe life in the spirit of David’s tabernacle, so that….others will encounter zoe life and walk in repentance and the fear of the Lord also.
If this doesn’t describe us, I don’t know what does!
I also believe that the Lord will water us with blessings and peace as we continue to do this, and I also believe that we will be a model for many people all over, and that we will all be leaders in a statewide and eventually national movement that helps fulfill Acts 15:16-17 “I will return, and I will rebuild the fallen tabernacle of David so that all mankind will seek the Lord”
and Isaiah 42:9-13
“See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands. The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.”
What a time to be alive! We are going to help prepare the way for the coming King! Thank God we get to live in such a time and with such an assignment! And thank God we get to do it together!
Hope you have an awesome 2’s day!!! Love you!!!
