The Secret To Long Term Results

Hey!  I hope you’re having a great day!

Today is Mothers Day, and like many I will be spending time with my mom today and making my best attempt to make her feel special.  Thankfully I was blessed with a very good mom who did what she needed to do day after day to take care of her kids.  Thankfully I had a mom with a compelling reason “why.”

A compelling reason why is what will drive someone to do the necessary work day after day, week after week, year after year to get to where they want to be.  Without a compelling reason why, nobody would even do the simplest of things on a consistent basis like show up for work, take a shower, brush their teeth, or even get out of bed.  It literally drives every decision we will ever make.

Human psychology fascinates me.  Thankfully I’m in a position where I get to see the psychology of people on display each and every day.  How can I see that?  Easy.  By their actions.

Our actions reflect how we think, what is important to us and whether we truly have a compelling reason why.  If someone decides not to continue to exercise, eat healthy, drink water, get MAT, or do anything else that is good for them than what has happened is that they have lost their compelling reason why.

Think about how many times we’ve all heard that we should exercise a certain way or eat a certain way, yet how many of us actually do it consistently?  Although there are many things that most people don’t fully understand, getting more information about what is good for us is completely useless unless we have a compelling reason why we should change our actions and apply the things we’ve learned.

This is why as someone who supplies helpful health information to you, I must stop and ask you the question-

What Is Your Reason Why?

Why do you want to be healthier?

Why do you want to feel better?

Why do you want to have less pain?

Why do you want to be stronger?

Why do you want to live longer?

Why do you want to be more in control of your health and your body?

Why do you not want to worry so much about something going wrong or getting worse?

Why do you not want to end up like so and so?

Do yourself a favor and take some time and seriously think about this.  When you think you have an answer ask yourself again- why is that important?  Keep going until you get the root.  Find that reason why and if it is important and compelling enough to YOU, you will succeed.

Have a great day!
Chris
